AG Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Arrests Houma Man on 146 Additional Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges

A Houma man is facing 146 additional felony charges following a continued investigation by Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation.

53-year-old Bronson Joseph Billiot, of Short Street in Houma, was arrested August 17, 2026, for:

  • 45 counts of La. R.S. 14:81.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (Felony)
  • 101 counts of La. R.S. 14:81.1(E)(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material (Under 13 years old) (Felony)

Billiot was previously arrested by Special Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on four counts of LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material (Distribution)(Under the age of 13) related to a NCMEC Cybertip from electronic service provider Discord.

At the time of his arrest, Billiot was out on $50,000.00 bond in the 17th JDC following his previous arrest by LBI on four counts of possession of CSAM. Billiot was also out on $400,000.00 bond in the 32nd JDC for Sexual Battery and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.

Through further investigation, Digital Forensic Examiners with the LBI Digital Forensics Laboratory located numerous additional items of CSAM within Billiot’s electronic devices. Based on the findings, investigators secured an additional warrant for Billiot's arrest.

On August 17, 2026, Special Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, along with Homeland Security Investigations, located Bronson Billiot at the Terrebonne Parish Courthouse.

Bronson was placed under arrest and transported to the Jerry Larpenter Criminal Justice Complex, where he was booked as a fugitive. He was then transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where he was booked on the additional charges.

Billiot’s bond on the additional charges was set at $146,000.00.

The investigation was conducted by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the case.
